Dinu Lipatti, one of the best pianists of all times, was Romanian. At last, someone I dare to be proud of. What a pity he died at only 33... After listening to his performances (Chopin in general) some time ago, I could not listen to any others for a pretty long time. Oh, RIP, master Lipatti.
And while speaking of Chopin, I shouldn't forget Clara Haskil either, Romanian as well.. Marvelous interpretation..
